Wood, 2007: Specimens were removed from the wood of limbs and from a log. All of the South American Coptoborus species are small and breed in small stems. Except for their xylomycetophagous habit, their habits have not been studied in detail. Wood, 1982: Specimens were taken from material 5-20 cm in diameter.
