Coptoborus capucinulus

Biology:

Beaver and Browne, 1978: An ambrosia beetle recorded from one species of Burseraceae. Browne, 1961: The nest of this species has a short entrance tunnel which soon breaks up into a few branches which are more or less transverse, not longitudinal. These branch tunnels are placed close together, usually slightly widened and may coalesce to form a very irregular sort of brood chamber. The total depth of penetration into the wood is at most about 3 cm.
