Xyleborus amplexicauda

Biology: 

Beaver and Browne, 1978: Recorded only from Dipterocarpaceae in Malaya. Browne, 1961: Most of the hosts are of the family Dipterocarpaceae. It has only been found in fairly large logs and the nest is very similar to that of X. emarginatus comprising tunnels and brood chambers both on the surface and within the wood.
