Arixyleborus suturalis

Biology: 

Beaver and Browne, 1978: Resembling A. rugosipes. Browne, 1961: This species is a small pinhole borer. It has always been taken from poles and branches of about 2-25 cm diameter and sometimes rather dry of dying or cut trees and infestation of sawn timber has not yet been observed. The nest has an unbranched entrance tunnel and a terminal, longitudinal brood chamber which may measure as much as 2.5 by 1.5 cm.
